Just realized there is another shortcut I want. It is a last number redial. I know Skype is in beta, yet today on one call I got a significant number of disconnects. Now that may not have anything to do with Skype. I may have just wandered out of the zone. What I need is a sound alert — that the signal is broken and a shortcut or quick key to confirm a redial.
Separately, I guess my disconnect during call rate is increasing. I’ve got no way of measuring the statistics for dropped calls. However, if I was a first time user and getting the drop call performance I had on this call then I might be less than impressed. I wonder what statistics could be contributed — feed Skype with without breaching any privacy issues? Would it help?

did you have that problem with version 0.93? note that version 0.92 and older had a bug that caused calls to be dropped (see the 0.93 changelog at http://www.skype.com/help_releasenotes.html ).
cheers!

Jaan,
This was noted post using version 0.93. I’ve sent you a call log summary and a few additional details. Hope that helps.
Hi Stuart, I was wondering if it would be possible to connect a regular phone to the modem port and use that instead of the PC’s microphone and speakers. (That would trivially enable wireless skyping). What do you think?
Hi, Seb,
If it’s possible to connect a phone to a voice modem and use it together with IP software, that would be great!
But have you ever tried that? I tried but never success at all. Though windows will add a WDM driver for voice modem, those WDM device don’t seemed to work with IP phone software. If any body know how to do that, I will be very appreciated.
The only similar way I tried successfully by interconnect a sound card and a voice modem with mic/spk interface.
