I’ve set up a Twitter account for KMWorld 2007 with the tag “kmw07“. What does this mean? You can join in the fun and follow what people are Twittering about kmw07 here.

http://twitter.com/kmw07/with_friend
Add this link to your RSS reader and you will see updates from all who are participating.

What might be twittered? Some things we’d like to see.

  • discussion topics people would like to talk about.
  • additional facts and links to useful materials
  • meetup suggestions
  • introductions eg @stuarthenshall you should meet @wirearchy
  • presentation comments “yes and”
  • introductions. I am - interested in X.
  • short stories.. 144 characters
  • applause!

kmw07Twitter doesn’t require a laptop, you can participate using a cellphone(set it on vibrate!) and SMS if you desire (Make sure you aren’t paying for inbound SMS). You can get started by texting “follow kmw07″ to 40404 here in the US. If you are not a member follow the instructions. In fact I liked this write up on Twitter in a conference. It’s clear and brilliant.

If you don’t have a Twitter account you can register quickly online. Or just by sending that “follow kmw07″ to 40404!

Little details. Twitter says they will set up automatic following. That is if you follow “kmw07″ it will automatically follow you. At the moment Twitter still (despite my many requests) hasn’t activated this. So it rests on my quick response unless they turn it on by tomorrow. In this regard their Customer Service system appears broken. I will use my own twitter account “stuarthenshall” for my twittering. I will look to answer all questions directed to @kmw07 or refer to the right place.

Look forward to Twittering with you.
