This thougtht deserves more of a writeup. It's true and you see it everywhere. The iPhone has fundamentally shifted how its users use their PC's or Mac's. That means next generation portables and laptops have to start serving us in new ways!

Pat Phelan beat me on the post and I'll write more on Fring later. It was impressive when I used it on an unlocked iPhone. Now it works on the latest generation 3G phones straight from the App store. Cool!

No surprise to me that HP is extending their IPAQ range although I doubt that Windows mobile will make this one very exciting. I think the learning is every PC manufacturer is looking at phones and realizing that their business is threatened.

Yep, we all wonder about this and yet increasingly the benefits of sharing including location make it more and more important we find solutions that we are comfortable with. It's why I prefer Twitter "location" apps to those that more precisely position you.
