Skype should just offer me a SIP account. I'd even pay for it. As David writes routing via the PSTN is not open.

It is easy to overlook the touch when talking about phones. Except the number of my friends that have the touch is growing and I see them carrying it around with their phone. I've never looked to see which programs exist to use a touch with another phone as the modem.

Another example of Skype dealing it's ecosystem a blow? How's this impact on iSkoot longer term?

A thoughtful post on where it's all going. Nice to see someone else wrestling with their own perspective and thinking about where it is all going. I'd comment re form factors that "numbers" are dead and what we want is voice conversations at certain times with friends and colleagues etc. We should only have to ask… or point. That should be enough.

Let's hope it comes soon. It's hard to run or develop a service without it.
