- iPhone 4 – Part 1: The Order | I checked Twitter and quickly preordered yesterday using the new Apple Store app. – This post my John Patrick pointed me to Matt Buchanan posts and the "cloud". Both have good discussion although from a users perspective this is more "technical" and what should motivate them is a better "store" / "life" experience. The big push for Apple over the next year is the iTunes store. I think watch out Amazon. <br />

On ordering I need no convincing – it was AT&T that let the process down. The lesson was the Apple Store app which knew my number, and current phone details, enabled a simplifed check and quick response. Unfortunately I have to go to the store to pick them up. <br />

Separately, one cannot help having reflections on commiting to another two years with AT&T. They are hopeless in so many ways. However I can't buy an unlocked phone in the US currently that will work on a network of choice. So will likely unlock using the backdoor methods. Note I don't like the subsidy model and believe more transparent pricing would be more effective. <br />

Finally how many could they have sold? - Why Aren’t I the Center of the Apple Universe? | yes and reinvent the online store – Great article highlighting some of the shortcomings of Apple's current strategy. A sort of come on Steve "where's the cloud?"
