Great and insightful post. I have also contemplated about these issues since launch day, and after my last round of customers in Asia Pacific, some of which are mobile handset ODMs and chipset vendors - it seems that everyone is looking for a &quot;solution&quot; to FaceTime.
I don&#039;t think that FaceTime as a service will be successful in this incarnation - it lacks a lot of infrastructure components to make it into the enterprise world, while for consumers it has the problem of being unique to the iPhone4. I am sure that both will change as time goes by.
Interesting times ahead for mobile VoIP and for video chat services.</description>
