Simply years too late. I was one of the early MT adopters. I also watched many leave the community early for wordpress. I finally made the move this early this year. MT is now my second choice – not default.

I’m surprised this is presented as new thought. Great that many bloggers are renewing their interest in how to make their blogs more social. I keep experimenting along just these lines and can’t wait to try more new plugins.

One Laptop becomes a case study. It seems very optimistic to me to present it this way. It must be time for a new initiative in this area.

Via Chris Brogan on Twitter. Like the style of this post sure to drive controversy; no doubt written to provoke it. I think it misses the point. Social media doesn’t start with a rule book. It starts with listening a word missing from the post.

Re: your last item about social media rules.
I hope (but doubt) that some day there will be significant realization that the best filters in a world of constant noise will be effective (and ongoing) serious listening and informed critical thinking. They are, however, seriously unsexy.
