I've added TweetBacks to my blog today. Yet for another view on how the blog and the conversation is integrated BackType provides an interesting view. Unfortunately, spam tweeters seem to get in the way.

Skype BS line. "By boosting your existing SIP communications solution with Skype for SIP you can now reach a community of over 405 million Skype Customers." The rest is a great step forward.

The Salesforce announcement that they are adding Twitter so clients can respond is logical. What companies haven't effectively done yet is enable effective escalation of service related issues. Twitter provides context and profile. That's a Smart Contextual Caller on the line and it doesn't need to be an interruption.

A step forward yes, and a good summary by Dan. Many other mentions today re SFS on many blogs. I've argued SIP interconnects for a long time so good to see Skype strategy actually evolving. You still can't SIP to Skype effectively. In execution it is all very Telco 1.0. Others have just written it up as SIP trunking. It's minutes rather than real value added or a web2.0+ solution. Skype could still grow up to be much more. It would be interesting to plot the development scenarios for Skype now. Where they appear to be headed – I think they risk leaving a lot of value on the table.
