Enthusiastic passionate people write great comments on product blogs. As I read the comments on this Apple Tablet post I instantly had a multi-point list. What's good, what's bad etc. And I really hope Apple's competitors take the comments seriously. Effectively "leaks" are generating enormous feedback loops. The product is also starting to make more sense with each leak, strategically (eg 3G – books, magazines) and with comments stories on how people expect to use it. I bought in to the need long ago.
Another angle on this reflection is… it isn't good enough to be Dell or HP prototyping products that are only just nearing this stage of thought and development… you have to be well past it. Plus deal with a problem that is becoming a real focal issue. Will "touch" continue to redefine products? At what point will a $25 phone be "Touch"? That probably matters.

It's simply nice to pick up a product and know it was designed for a cool aspirational purpose. Perhaps that's why I enjoy using my space pen.

Data that says to me… Tweeters will talk and business requires a Talk escalation solution.

Toughest note on the end of the Skype Developer program I've seen. I wrote a few weeks back that we'd all long moved on and yet as I read this I know there is a growing feeling that the next stage in communications development will not be Skype related and partially because they cannot turn it inside out.

Business Applications Of Social Media Inside Organizations: Twitter
Data that says to me… Tweeters will talk and business requires a Talk escalation solution.
I’ve long thought Twitter etc. would be a very good tool inside the firewall .. and of course most of the leading collaborative platforms already have their Twitter clone loaded up, ready to go.
Escalating to Talk (via phweet or other means) is very common-sensical in a work context .. seems a no-brainer to me.
